Types of College Applications

• All schools (including UC/CSU) must be listed in Naviance, “Colleges I’m Applying to.” Click on the triangle to expand this section.

Other: Out-of-state public schools (ex: SUNY, ApplyTexas), international schools (ex: UCAS), private schools not on the Common App (ex: MIT/Georgetown)

College Application Rounds

• When manually adding a school in Naviance, “Colleges I’m Applying to,” you can select/edit the application round. If you connect your Common App to Naviance, the round you entered in the Common App will show in Naviance. Click on the triangle to expand this section.

Letters of Recommendation (LOR)

• There are three types of LORs used for college admissions purposes. Requirements and quantity vary by campus. LAHS uses Naviance for submitting LORs. Click on the triangle to expand this section.
